Connecting LoopUp SIP Trunking to Live Hub

This section describes how to connect LoopUp SIP Trunking to the Live Hub.

To connect LoopUp SIP Trunking to the AudioCodes Live Hub platform, complete the following steps:

  1. Configure the SIP Trunk in the LoopUp Admin Portal.

  2. Assign number(s) in the LoopUp Admin Portal.

  3. Create a SIP Connection in Live Hub.

  4. Update LoopUp SIP Trunk with SIP Connection’s FQDN.

Configure the SIP Trunk in the LoopUp Admin Portal

This step configures the SIP Trunk in the LoopUp Admin Portal.

  1. Log in to the LoopUp Admin portal (https://admin.loopup.com).

  2. Navigate to 'SIP Trunks', and click Create New SIP Trunk.

  3. Enter the following information in the form that appears:

    1. Name – display name for the SIP Trunk.

    2. Description – optional description.

    3. Region – region within the LoopUp platform that will be used to terminate customer’s SIP Trunk (AMER, APAC, EMEA).

    4. Distribution – defines call distribution policy across multiple endpoints; if you are configuring a single endpoint, the value doesn’t matter.

    5. Channel limit – configures number of channels (by default maximum value us 100, but it can be increased).

    6. Protocol – defines the transport protocol to be used by all endpoints; it is recommended to set it to TLS – this will ensure that both signaling and media streams are encrypted.

    7. Primary endpoint – enter a dummy FQDN, e.g. “dummy.livehub.audiocodes.io”. Update this configuration after creating the SIP Connection in Live Hub.

    8. Secondary endpoint – leave blank.

  4. Click Create. The SIP Trunk is created and connection information is displayed. Write down this information as you will need it during the SIP Connection configuration in the Live Hub portal, as described in the next section.

You can review the connection information by clicking on the SIP Trunk, and then on the configuration information icon.

Assign Number(s) in the LoopUp Admin Portal

This step assigns number(s) to the newly created SIP Trunk in the LoopUp Admin Portal.

  1. Hover over the newly created SIP Trunk entry. An “Assign Numbers” link appears.

  2. Click Assign Numbers. The Number Management page is displayed.

  3. In the Number Management page, select the number from the list and double-click it. You will be asked to select the 'Destination'. Choose the newly created SIP Trunk and confirm the assignment.
